The 67th edition of the Menton Music Festival, which has become, over the years, one of the biggest music events in the southern France between July 30 and August 14, with a pre-opening concert (open to public) held on Friday, July 29.
The Festival’s Artistic Director Paul Emmanuel Thomas has shown, with the help of appropriate television images, the characteristics of the event, performers, instruments, directors of internationally renowned orchestra engaged in three magnificent places of the city: the square in front of St. Michael the Archangel Basilica , the Cocteau Museum and the Esplanade Francis Palmero. Note that the opening Concert on the Esplanade in front of the Basilica on Saturday, July 30 at 21.30 will star the Tuscan soprano Patrizia Ciofi accompanied by the Orchestra the Pomo d’Oro; those attending the interesting Conference appreciated the preview at the piano by the young Parisian Geoffroy Couteau, engaged in some songs by Johannes Brahms (photo by Prof. Raneri), the complete Couteau Concert will take place during the Festival in the afternoon (hours 18) Saturday, August 6 in an exhibition hall of the Jean Cocteau Museum.
